Who is the smartest American, Russian, Australian or Filipino?

A manager at Wal-Mart was given the task of hiring a personnel for the store.
After sorting through a stack of resumes he found 4 people who were equally qualified -- an American, a Russian, an Australian, and a Filipino.

He decided to call the 4 in and ask them only 1 question. Their answer would determine who among them would get the job. The day came and as the four sat around the conference room table. The manager asked, "What is the fastest thing you know?"

The Russian vigorously replied, "A BLINK! It comes so fast you don't even know it ever happened. A BLINK is the fastest thing I know."

"That's very good!" replied the manager. "And now you sir?" he asked Dave, the American.

The American Answered, "A THOUGHT... It just pops into your head. There's no warning that it's on the way; it's just there. A thought is the fastest thing I know of."

"Excellent!" said the manager. "The blink of an eye...that's a very popular cliche for speed."

He then turned to George, the Australian who was contemplating on his reply.
"Well, out at my dad's ranch, you step out of the house and on the wall there's a light switch. When you flip that switch, the light in the barn comes way out across the pasture.

"Yep, TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think of." The manager was very impressed with the third answer and thought he had found his man. "It's hard to beat the speed of light" he said.

Turning to the Filipino (from Philippines of course),the fourth and final man, the manager posed the same question.

Filipino candidly replied,"Ahhh...After hearing the 3 previous answers, it's obvious to me sir that the fastest thing i know is Diarrhea."

"WHAT!?" said the manager who was stunned by the response while the others were giggling in their seats...A Filipino Applies for a Job at Wal-Mart...

"oh, i can explain sir" Said Filipino. "you see the other day, my stomach was feeling so bad, so i ran so fast to the bathroom but before i could THINK, BLINK or TURN ON THE LIGHTS, I had already "smile" in my pants!"
